Customer Service

Currently, and over the next few years, the CIÉ Group is putting in place the biggest investment programme ever as part of the National Development Plan to improve Irish public transport with new trains, stations and buses. Much financial assistance has also come from EU co-funding for this programme.
Our new redesigned suite of websites is a major part of our plan to provide train and bus users with the most up-to-date information.
Our new website has greater functionality and can provide more real time information, better journey planning and can now cater for customers with special needs. And we have begun to extend our e-commerce facilities.

Already rail users can see big rail improvements at Heuston and Connolly Stations in Dublin as well as other stations on the system. We have also opened a new Bus Station in Drogheda and Waterford. The Bus Éireann and Bus Átha Cliath fleets have been greatly expanded with new buses, many with access for the mobility impaired.

As well as the emphasis on new passenger facilities, it is our intention to make major progress in the area of Customer Focus and to continue to live up to our Customer Charters. We will continue to get the widest public consultation possible in planning future service provision.

Through this process, we will not only have modernised our trains, buses and passenger facilities but also our approach to our customers.
