Hydrogen Bus Trial
We were delighted to announce the start of a trial for the first Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle bus in Ireland.  The single deck Caetano hydrogen powered bus trial was operated by the CIÉ operating companies, Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus, through November and December and was run in conjunction with the Department of Transport.  The trial had been planned and delivered with our partners in Hydrogen Mobility Ireland and formed part of a broad strategy to adopt low emissions bus and rail technologies, to decarbonise public transport.

It plays an important role in delivering on the CIÉ Group Sustainability Strategy 2020

The trial was launched on Monday 9th November 2020 by the Minister of Transport, Eamon Ryan.
